I Finally Shared A Guided Meditation On YouTube
So far I have shared 2 videos on this website’s blog (see below), but this video is the first that I actually shared publicly on YouTube.
This blog feels safe because (so far) no one actually knows about this site. Currently, this blog feels like a tropical island that I am on all by myself.
For the time being that feels safe.
Since COVID-19 hit I have not been able to share any posts on my personal and business social media pages. If you know me, you know how big of a deal this is. I have been super blocked and not able to find inspiration or motivation to share on any social media platforms.
But I still badly needed to write, express and create!
I am proud of myself for taking a creative risk and trying something totally new.
I am proud of myself for going deep and baring my heart.
I am proud of what I made AND I am proud that I didn’t archived my creation, but instead found the courage to release it into the world.
This last part took a lot of work. Towards the end I became super judgy and self-critical. But then I remember what Julia Camron said about criticising your art too soon. She believes all new artists are like children. And being critical of a child’s art, especially early on, is child abuse.
Instead let them play, explore, experiment, make “creative mistakes” and GROW.
That what this video represents for me. I played, explored, experimented, made some mistakes BUT MOSTLY GREW!
From my heart to yours.
Love,
D
